Tracy Houser

Tracy is a graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She has over 20 years of experience providing care to infant, toddler and preschool aged children. Tracy joined the Hort Woods team as a classroom teacher in 2017 and has been in the role of supervising classroom teacher since 2020. Tracy believes in the importance of creating bonds between teachers and families so that each child’s development and learning can be fully supported.  Her main area of interest is social emotional learning and using nurturing connections to teach children how to form friendships, communicate emotions, and deal with challenges. Tracy strives to create a sense of comfort, safety, confidence, and encouragement in each child in the classroom. “When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it’s our job to share our calm, not join their chaos.” ~L.R.
