Michelle possesses a degree in Elementary Education and previously was the owner and operator of a daycare for seven and a half years. Additionally, Michelle has worked as a kindergarten and infant/toddler teacher at a daycare. During her time there, she was responsible for writing the curriculum at this center, as part of her job duties. She finds joy in partnering with families, while assisting children, as they grow and learn. Over the past several years,

Michelle has devoted her time advocating for children, in both the mental health and child welfare systems. Recently, she felt called to return to the classroom and plans to finish out her professional career by teaching children, which is something that she is very passionate about. Michelle is the mother of five, amazing children, as well as eight grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is always looking to learn a new hobby or skill. She loves bee keeping, fishing, camping, hiking, gardening, and visiting the beach.

Currently, Michelle is learning to make jam, sour dough bread, and goats milk soap. Michelle also loves taking her puppy River for walks. Michelle has devoted most of her adult life to advocating for children. She also has spent a significant amount of time as a volunteer in the areas of scouting, coaching, and serving as a youth leader. She feels very blessed to be a part of the Bennett Family.
