Christy Witmer

Christy is a proud Penn State alum who has been caring for children since she earned her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in Elementary Education. Her journey into the world of education began with a strong conviction that early experiences lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. She holds a Pennsylvania State Board of Private Academic School Certificate for Nursery/Kindergarten teachers and has taught many young children in childcare and elementary school settings in Pittsburgh and central Pennsylvania. Christy genuinely loves forming relationships—with children and their families alike. She believes in creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued, understood, and supported. Christy also loves rooting for her son at Columbia University, her daughter who is a high school senior, for the Nittany Lions with her husband; and snuggling with her two cavaliers.
