Iguana Garden

The Iguana Garden preschool classroom is a nurturing environment in which the children can learn and grow in a safe, trusting environment. We encourage the children to become independent in caring for themselves, their peers, and their environment. We follow an emergent curriculum based on the student’s interests and needs to provide a rich learning environment for our children to thrive and experience meaningful opportunities. We have also implemented “The Project Approach” into our curriculum, which is first asking the children what they already know about a subject then exploring that subject through different resources and projects and final stage is documenting what the children have learned through the process. Our classroom offers a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities for the children to explore, discover, and manipulate. We believe children learn through play. We also enjoy baking/cooking, art projects, science experiments, reading, and having fun!
