Maria Bills

Maria Bills knew she wanted to be a teacher when she was in the second grade and loved playing school. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught at the elementary level in southwestern PA and the Twin Cities area before moving to State College and taking time off when her daughters were young. Maria returned to teaching as a substitute at her children’s preschool, Grace Lutheran, and then joined the staff as the lead teacher in a 3-year-old classroom. Maria enjoys reading, dancing, singing, and making art with her young friends and loves the preschool years because each day is full of exciting new discoveries! She and her husband, Brian, have two teenage daughters and two adorable cats.
