Emerson Herzing

Emerson is a recent graduate of Penn State. During her undergrad studies, she was able to obtain dual bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education as well as Human Development and Family Sciences. Emerson gained experience working with infants and toddlers at her previous position, where she was the supervising teacher of the infant and toddler classrooms. Emerson has always loved children, but really tapped into that passion in college. Her passion really lies in nurturing the social and emotional aspect of child development, while still incorporating the whole child approach to teaching. Emerson believes that teaching children should really be individualized, and child based, so that every child can have the opportunity to flourish. In her free time, Emerson enjoys kayaking, spending time outdoors with her husband, and singing in her family’s bluegrass band. She looks forward to getting the opportunity to teach and love on your children.
